HELPFUL TIPS
The more words
you expose your child to, the more words he will learn. Remember to speak in a
low tone voice when talking with your child. Here are other things you can
consider for your child's language development:
+ read to your
toddler
+ sing songs
+ recite nursery
rhymes
+ use story or
song tapes or CDs in the car
+
when your child is "talking", show that you are listening by smiling and
looking at him; leave spaces after what you say to give him a chance to reply,
even if he doesn't have the necessary words to do so. This is how little ones
learn about conversation.
